After graduating from Baylor University with an MBA in Finance and Economics, Marty spent 16 years building a successful career in national account sales and management where he worked with senior executives at some of the world’s largest financial and industrial firms.
In 1996, with a spirit of adventure and entrepreneurship, Marty and his wife Lene began investing in properties in Southern California, where they met through their involvement in the Pasadena Jaycees. Marty and Lene honed their real estate investing skills and, in 2004, sold their California holdings and decided to focus their attention on real estate sales and marketing in Oregon. Since then, Marty’s incredible talent for negotiation, his solid business acumen and his knowledge of the local market have earned him the distinction of being a Top Producer in Portland, attaining the Diamond-Platinum level, the highest achievement, in the Portland Metropolitan Association of Realtor's Masters Circle.
Lene Wells, Marty’s wife and business partner, is a native of Denmark. After earning a degree in Hotel Management from the prestigious Helsingor Handelskole in Helsingor, Denmark, Lene held management positions at several premier five-star hotel properties in Denmark and Southern California. This valuable experience gives Lene extraordinary insight into the high-end, luxury market - something she uses every day while working with buyers to help them find ideal properties that meet their needs and desires.
Marty and Lene live in West Linn with their three children. They love the community and are actively involved in many school and sports activities throughout the year.
